An update from Italy.

So we’re chilling in Florence right now and we finally found a cheap internet place and some time to write an update. Alot has happened since I last checked in so I’ll try to cover as much as I can remember. After a day of shopping in Singapore I flew to London on the 27th and immediatly went to St Pancras Station to catch the Eurostar train to Paris so I could meet the tour group at the hotel. Eurostar was nice, and very fast. It only took 2.5 hours to get to Paris whereas the tour group were taking a bus and the ferry, which took the better part of 9 hours (or so they told me). We spent the next day in Paris and we went on a bike tour and ate delicious bread. After that we went to Rodin’s Museum followed by Notre Dame Cathedral. Dinner was frog’s legs and a nice steak. Then we rushed to the Lourve for a quick peek at the Mona Lisa. The people on the tour group are pretty fun and friendly. Quite alot of them are Aussies so we all get along quite well. Anyway, after Paris we bussed to Switzerland and made snowmen ate fondue and got stuck on a train which was meant to take us to the top of the Swiss Alps (Jungfraubahnen or something?). The snow in Switzerland was very nice but the town was almost completly empty and everything was closed since it was Sunday. There was a bit of an incident with our driver in Switzerland too… He got fired and now we have a new driver who just took us to Florence, Italy. During one of the lunch stops we sampled Italian McDonalds which was pretty interesting. I had a Parmagiana burger. They also had beer on tap in the McDonalds. Also on the way to Florence we passed through Piza and saw the leaning tower. Then last night we spent about 5 or 6 hours in a karaoke place in the middle of Florence which was pretty fun. Lots of classics. And cheap cocktails. I didn’t bring the photos with me to the internet cafe so I’ll have to upload them later. Anyway that’s all from me for now.

Until next time… Stay tuned.
